    Hi. Great to have completed the upgrade process - it seemed to be so easy. One small point - the first few times I got and error from Odin with FAIL message. Read somewhere else that need to close Odin, switch off the phone, pull out the battery for a few seconds and then put back and repeat the steps for upgrading as mentioned above. Worked flawlessly.

    @MegaTron DesTroy
    Official Jelly bean is released by Samsung..this ROM is leaked by some one from XDA or SamMobile...the official ROM released after this so it may be improved also chance for bugs...so if you feel this ROM better stick with it...to go back to official stock ROM download latest official ROM for your country and flash using ODIN.

    13 June 2013 01:16

    @nugroho mamik
    yours is international one ie. I9100 ...comment your country name...i will share the specific latest firmware for your country...flashing that is safer than this...

  • nugroho mamik says:
    13 June 2013 04:04

    i'm from indonesia, but the employer from samsung service centre said that my s2 is not from indonesia..thats why im so confused

  • sabeer sas says:
    13 June 2013 05:51

    @nugroho mamik
    Your firmware match with Taiwan....first try to update using Kies..if not working...download Taiwan firmware from below link and flash using Odin.
    4.1.2 ZSLSJ

  • nugroho mamik says:
    13 June 2013 20:39

    @sas...
    nice job bro. succesfully installed. but I have something to ask.
    1. the 4.1.2 ZSLSJ is only one single file..which is home. there is no pda or csc. but still succesful

    2. after instalation. my device can't use the home screen lock even after i wiped the cache n data.

    3. if i want to shut down my s2 there is no option to restart, activated or deact data. just shut down straightly

    3. can i change the 4.1.2 ZSLSJ that i'v already instal with XXLSJ?
    thanx a lot

  • sabeer sas says:
    14 June 2013 07:28

    @nugroho mamik
    That single file included all the files...For Lockscreen options look in Settings->Security... power button options depends by the firmware you are using..do you have any network problem in the firmware...?

  • nugroho mamik says:
    14 June 2013 08:03

    i think i dont have any network problem sas. just cant lock it. but thats okay with me. this could be enough. can i change the 4.1.2 zslsj that i've already have with the 4.1.2 xxlsj? and if can..how?

    thx before

    Excellent article. Thanks!

    However I'm confused about a couple of things.

    Are Modem and Baseband the same thing?

    If so why does it matter what baseband I am currently on if I'm going to update it?

    For reference my phone details are:

    Galaxy S2 i9100
    Baseband: i9100BVLPB

    Can I flash with this baseband?

    Also, my phone is stuck in a bootloop after installing Cyanogenmod 10.1, so I'm not sure what kernel I have installed. Does that make a difference?
    Is there any chance installing Cyanogenmod will have changed my Baseband?

    Is there a way to install a custom kernel (such as Siyah) through Odin?

    Thanks again!

  • sabeer sas says:
    25 July 2013 11:17

    @ubiquitouspenguin
    Yes modem and baseband are same thing...sometimes if you use different baseband it may cause network problem..if you have trouble after cyanogen mod then boot in to recovery and wipe dalvik cache...if not fixes give me your country info...i will provide the specific firmware for your country ,which can flash using Odin....
